Catherine Cook Counselling

For couples and intimate partners

I offer couples and intimate partners a non-judgemental, supportive space to enable them to explore their questions and difficulties.

People often come to therapy when they have struggled with their relationship for some time, and communication has become reactive and hostile, or entrenched in patterns that leave each partner feeling unhappy.

It can be very helpful to talk about your situation with a trained couples therapist about the pressure you’re under together - looking at the wider context, and the history of your relationships, and the impact that you have on each other, for example.

Through a process that helps you improve your communication, therapy can help you decide on the way forward, and help you develop the skills to support you in the future.
